Hello.
I’m your Web Developer

My name is Mike, it’s very nice to meet you. I’m a web developer in North Reading, Massachusetts. I can build you a new site, or make updates to an existing one. It’s very important to me that your site is usable by anyone that visits it. With that in mind, I will address the following points as I work:

Performance

Making sure your site loads as fast as possible is a surefire way to improve customer experience. There are many factors that may cause slow load times, including your customers’ connection speed, and some technical stuff involving your web server (the computer that shows your site to your customers’ computers.) While these factors are out of my control, I can ensure that your site only has what it needs, and eliminate “bloat”—needless extra stuff that doesn’t need to be sent to your customers.

Accessibility

Just like your storefront should have a ramp leading up to it, your website should include some “ramps” to make life easier for people of all abilities. Accessibility is a hot button topic at the moment, because until recently, much of the web has been difficult to navigate for people using assistive technologies (a screen reader for someone with sight impairment is a common example.) Making your site as accessible will make a more pleasant experience for everyone, not just the people who need it.

Responsiveness

This one is simple. Everything on your site should flow onto your customers’ screen and look great, no matter what size screen they are using. Mainly, this makes life easier on customers interacting with your site on mobile devices. It’s a big deal because a majority of people will likely use your site on a smartphone as they will on a desktop or laptop computer.

Whether you are looking to get a new site up and running, or you currently own a site that is in need of some upgrades like the ones mentioned above, please get in touch. I’d love to hear more about your project and how I can help you achieve your goals!
